Common questions
- Why no free tier?
- The 60-day trial is the full product — no credit card, no crippled feature set, a real evaluation window. Permanent free tiers attract users who never convert and create cost exposure without offsetting revenue. We'd rather give you 60 honest days than a permanent stripped-down preview.
- What happens after the trial ends?
- Monitors pause. Your data goes read-only for 14 days so you can export everything (or upgrade), then it's purged. Upgrading any time during the trial reactivates everything.
- What's the difference between monthly and annual?
- Annual saves roughly 2 months — $29/mo for Pro and $99/mo for Enterprise, billed once per year. Monthly is always available; most teams default to annual.
- Why do I need an archive add-on?
- Hot retention is 90 days on every paid plan. If you need longer for compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, audit reviews) or multi-year SLA baselines, archive add-ons extend retention to 1 year ($9/mo), 3 years ($19/mo), or indefinitely ($29/mo) — exportable, re-importable, no egress fees.
- How does the historical viewer work?
- Archived data is stored in Cloudflare R2 as structured JSON bundles. Re-import a snapshot inside the app and switch to Historical Mode — same UI as live data, just frozen at the archive timestamp. Useful for "show me availability for Q2 last year" without keeping that data hot.
- Can I export my data if I cancel?
- Yes. Live data goes read-only for 14 days post-cancellation so you can download it. If you have an active archive add-on, your R2 archive stays accessible for 30 days post-cancellation for full JSON export. No data hostage situations.
- Do I have to talk to sales for Enterprise?
- No. Enterprise is self-serve — same 60-day trial, same Stripe checkout. Email us only if you need custom volume (above 150 monitors), a counsel-reviewed DPA, or specific compliance documentation.
- Where do you probe from?
- Cloudflare's edge network. Probe-auth keys let you whitelist us in your WAF without IP allowlisting. Multi-region consensus across PoPs is on the roadmap.
